When to use it

Edit a page, or write a new one?

If an engine cites a page of yours, you edit it from Priority Fixes, and if no page of yours answers the question, you start with a brief.

  • A page of yours is citededit it with fixes ready to publish, no new page needed

  • No page for the questionopen the task in Priority Fixes and choose Content Brief

  • You lead the questionno new page is needed, so no brief

  • Never from nothingwhen we have nothing to write from, we ask for your business profile first

Editing a page you have starts from fixes ready to publish.

You write a new page when your old one only needed an editThe task tells you when to edit a page and when to start a brief
What a task in Priority Fixes asks for, over a line saying the engines cited no page of the site for this question, so create a page that answers it directly or edit the closest page, and the on-page fixes card.

Who leads

Who is cited instead of you, and why

The brief opens with the sites the engines cite for the question, and what puts their pages ahead.

Sourced facts

Every fact sourced, none invented

Where you find the brief in your dashboard

It starts from a task in Priority Fixes, and is saved in Content Briefs.

  1. Priority Fixes

A task for a question you have no page for, where you choose Content Brief.

  2. Content Briefs

Every brief with its question, its date, its sections and what you add, to copy or download.

  3. Question Tracker

The same question in the analyses that follow, once the page is published.

Frequently asked questions

How is a brief different from on-page fixes?

On-page fixes are for a page you already have: an answer paragraph, an FAQ and structured data to add to it. A brief is for a new page, with its sections, facts and FAQ, when no page of yours answers the question. The fixes are in Priority Fixes.

Does Tasadr write the whole page and publish it?

No. A brief sets out what the page says and where each fact comes from. Your writer writes from it in your business's voice, and your team publishes it. We never publish on your site.

Where do the facts in a brief come from?

Only from what you gave us: your page, your business profile and the description you wrote when you added your site, each fact marked with its source. What we do not know stays a blank for you to fill, and anything your facts do not support is removed and shown to you.

Why is there no brief on some tasks?

Because a brief is for a new page. It is not offered when you lead the question, when an engine already cites a page of yours for it (edit that page instead), or when the question is paused outside your question balance. When we have nothing to write from, we ask for your business profile first.

How many briefs does my plan include?

2 a month on Starter, 5 on Pro, 12 on Advanced, and on Business as many as your team needs. The free trial has none. If a brief cannot be prepared, it does not count against the month. The details are on the pricing page.

What language is a brief written in?

The question's language: an Arabic question gets an Arabic brief, an English question an English one, and a French question a French one. An Arabic brief may also list names to write in Latin letters and a short English summary, so the page covers English searches too.
