How much does GEO cost? Prices, and what drives them

The Tasadr team · Published · Updated · 19 min read

GEO costs two things: a platform that measures where you stand and says what to change, and the work on your pages. Tasadr (تصدَّر) starts with a 7-day free trial, then Starter at $49 a month, Pro at $99, Advanced at $199 and Business by quote. Agencies price the work by questions, pages and markets.

On this page (12)
  1. What are you paying for when you buy GEO?

Optimising for AI answers (GEO) means getting ChatGPT, Gemini or Google to pick your site as a source when it writes the answer to your customer's question. The work that gets you there has three parts, each with its own cost, and offers differ because each one bundles a different mix of them:

    • Measurement: where your site stands in the engines' answers today, question by question, and who is cited instead of you. Without it you do not know where to start, or whether what you paid for worked.
    • Diagnosis: why the competitor leads the answer, what their page has that yours lacks, and what to change first.
    • Execution: writing or editing pages, adding FAQs and structured data (schema), and opening the site to crawlers.

Why does one offer look nothing like another?

A tool covers the first two parts and drafts the third, which your team or your agency then carries out. An agency mostly sells you the execution, with or without a measurement tool behind it. So before you compare one number with another, find out which part each number buys, or you end up comparing a tool subscription with a writing contract that has nothing in common with it.

  2. What does a Tasadr subscription cost?

Tasadr is a platform, not an agency, and its prices are fixed in US dollars, the same for every country, with no per-question fees. You start with a free trial, then choose a plan by the number of questions, sites and engines you need:

    • The free trial: 7 days with no credit card, for 1 site and 10 questions on ChatGPT and Gemini, with two measurements and one competitor analysis.
    • Starter, $49 a month: 1 site, 20 questions and 3 engines (ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity), updated daily.
    • Pro, $99 a month: 3 sites, 60 questions and 5 engines, adding Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, updated daily. Advanced, $199 a month: 5 sites and 150 questions on the same 5 engines.
    • Business, by quote: up to 8 engines chosen per client, updated daily, sites and questions set to your team's needs, and a 60-minute setup session with the Tasadr team.

What does the price include, and what does a year save?

Every plan includes the answer's excerpt, word for word, as evidence under every verdict, who is cited instead of you, the competitor analyses that explain why the competitor leads, and an action plan ranked by priority. A year on Starter and Pro is billed as 10 months: $490 on Starter and $990 on Pro. A year on Advanced is billed as 11 months: $2,189. Business has no yearly discount: its year is billed as 12 months. All of it, with the plans compared line by line, is on Tasadr's pricing.

What can be added to a plan's price?

Nothing is charged per question or per measurement, so your bill only changes from one month to the next when you add something yourself. If you need more questions than your plan holds, the add-on is optional and bought from the plan page: a pack of 20 more questions a month at $49 on Starter and $69 on Pro and Advanced. On Business, our team adds the packs on request.

Does the price include writing the content?

It includes a draft. Every competitor analysis comes with on-page fixes ready to publish: a paragraph that answers the question, an FAQ and structured data (schema), written from your page and your business profile only, with nothing added that is not in them. You send the task to a developer, an SEO lead or a content writer in one step, and we check the edit is live on the page before we measure its impact. Publishing it is yours or your team's.

What does competitor analysis in AI answers cost?

In Tasadr you do not pay for a competitor analysis on its own; it is part of every plan: one competitor analysis in the free trial, then 15 competitor analyses a month on Starter, 50 competitor analyses on Pro, 100 competitor analyses on Advanced, and no limit on Business. Who leads each question instead of you, and the competitor ranking, come with every measurement without your asking.

At an agency, the price of competitor analysis moves with the number of competitors, questions and markets, and with whether the agency stops at a list of names or compares each competitor's page with yours on the same question. How to read a competitor's page yourself is in how to know which competitor ChatGPT recommends instead of you.

  3. What drives the price and cost of a GEO service at an agency?

We do not publish an average of agency prices here: we have no verifiable source for such a figure, and the offers do not buy the same thing. But the price moves with six things, and you can ask every agency about each of them before you compare.

The number of questions, markets and dialects

Each market is its own set of questions. A customer in Riyadh words a question differently from a customer in Dubai, and a different competitor may lead the answer. An agency working on Saudi Arabia and the UAE for you is working on two sets, and the price follows.

Take a brand that sells in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Egypt: that is at least three sets of questions, each with its market's own words, cities and competitors. If some of its customers in the UAE ask in English, that is a fourth set, whose questions and pages are written in English rather than translated word for word from the Arabic. Every set means questions to measure and pages to write, so ask each agency how many markets and how many languages its offer covers, and whether it writes for each market afresh or translates from one market to the next.

The number of pages written or edited

Execution in GEO is writing above all: one page for each important question, answering it in two lines with the name, the city and the price. Each page needs a writer who knows your business and a review from you before it goes live. So ask how many pages a month the offer covers, who writes them and who reviews them.

    Technical work on the site

Some sites only need their text edited. Others first need crawlers to reach them: pages that cannot be read until JavaScript has run, a robots file that blocks the engines, or pages with no structured data (schema). That is a developer's work, and it may be priced on its own.

    Measurement and reporting

Does the offer include measurement? On which engines? How often do new results arrive? Does the report show you an excerpt of the answer itself, or a number with no evidence? An offer without measurement may look cheaper, but it leaves you no way to tell whether the work did anything.

    The length of the commitment

The engines' answers change, and a competitor gone this month can be back next month, so GEO needs ongoing attention rather than a project that ends with a handover. Ask how long you are committing for, and what stays yours if you stop: the pages written, and the measurement history.

    The language

A page translated from English does not answer a question your customer typed in their own dialect. Writing in Arabic for each market costs more than translating, but it is, more often than not, what the engine reads when it is asked in Arabic.

  4. A tool, an agency or your own team: which suits you?

It depends on who does the work on your side: with a writer or a developer, a measurement platform that tells you what to change is enough; without one, you need an agency to do the work, with an independent measurement that tells you whether it paid off. If you are an agency, there is Tasadr for agencies.

How to choose between a platform, an agency and a consultant, and how to check them before you sign, is in GEO agency or consultant: choosing in Saudi Arabia; the criteria for choosing a measurement tool itself are in how to choose a GEO tool.

  5. How do you compare price offers before you pay?

Put the offers side by side and ask each provider for a written answer to these seven questions. Whatever an offer leaves unclear, ask about before you sign:

    • Is the price fixed and written, or is something charged per question or per request?
    • How many questions does it cover, in which language and dialect, and for which country?
    • Which engines does it cover: ChatGPT and Gemini alone, or Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Perplexity, Copilot, Claude and Grok as well?
    • Do you read the answer's excerpt as evidence for every verdict, or a number on its own?
    • Does it include writing and editing pages, or measurement only?
    • How does it prove the work's impact: does it check that an edit is live on the page before crediting it with any result?
    • Can you try it before you commit, and can you cancel when you want?

And how does Tasadr answer them?

In the open: a fixed price in US dollars, the same for every country, with no per-question fees, questions in your customer's words and your market's dialect, the engines on each plan listed in the eight engines we measure, an excerpt of the answer under every verdict, and a check that an edit is live before we measure its impact. You start with a free trial and cancel your subscription when you want.

  6. What is the difference between a readiness check and measuring the answers?

A readiness check reads your page; measuring the answers reads what the engines wrote. The first says whether your page is written and open in a way that may help an engine; the second says whether ChatGPT, Gemini and Google actually cited your site on your customers' questions, and whom they cited instead. So the price of one cannot be compared with the price of the other.

A serious check is short. Google says its generative AI features require only an indexed page eligible to show with a snippet, with no special file or markup, so what gets checked is crawler access, indexing and the clarity of your text. A score from a checking tool does not say whether the engine chose you or whom it chose instead; only measuring the answers themselves does.

  7. How do you work out what your site needs?

Start from the questions, not the plan. Write down the questions your customers ask before they buy, in their words and dialect, for each service and each market, then pick the plan whose balance holds them. How to write them is in how to choose the questions you measure.

An illustrative example: a dental clinic in Riyadh offers 4 services, and each service has 5 questions its patients type. That makes 20 questions for one website. That count fits within the Starter plan's balance.

If you are a growing company with more than a single website, or an agency starting with three clients, Pro tracks 3 sites and 60 questions. Advanced tracks 5 sites and 150 questions. Business is for a group with many branches or brands, or an agency with more clients, and sets its sites and questions to your team's needs.

And what does a monthly package cost for an organisation or a group?

Business is the plan for organisations and groups: by quote, on up to 8 engines chosen per client, updated daily, sites and questions set to your team's needs, and a 60-minute setup session with the Tasadr team. You request the quote on the Business quote request, and it reaches you in writing within one working day.

  8. Which costs does a price offer leave out?

Some of the cost is not written in the offer, and you find it months later. Here are five:

    • Fees per question or per request: they turn the bill into a surprise every time you add a question or measure again.
    • A market that is not yours: a tool that asks in English, or about another market, gives you an accurate number about customers who are not yours.
    • A report without evidence: a number whose underlying answer you cannot open, so you cannot tell whether anything really changed.
    • Work with no measurement before it: if the starting point was never measured, nobody can prove later what the work added.
    • Your team's time: checking ten questions by hand on 8 engines means reading 80 answers every time, and recording them with their dates.

So should you start with a check by hand?

Yes: it is a good start that costs nothing but your time, and the method is set out step by step in how to know if ChatGPT and Gemini cite your site. But it answers for today, and keeps no record to compare with a month from now.

  9. Which guides help you choose who does the work?

Three guides complete the cost picture, on choosing a tool, choosing a company, and ChatGPT ads against being cited, then two pages to compare on before you pay:

  10. What can no amount of money buy?

A guaranteed place in the answer. Nobody sells a spot among the sources ChatGPT, Gemini or Google AI Overviews cite today, and the engine picks its sources afresh every time. Whoever guarantees you a citation for a fee is promising something they do not control.

What money buys is an honest measurement of where you stand today, a diagnosis of what your competitor has over you, pages clearer than theirs, and then a measurement that says whether anything changed. How we arrive at the Tasadr score out of 100 is explained in how we measure the Tasadr score, and who is ahead of you on each question is what the competitor comparison page shows.

Nor does money buy a date for the result, because each engine rebuilds its answers at intervals it does not announce. What decides the speed, and how to work out the return, is in how to measure the success of optimising for AI answers.

Frequently asked questions

How much does optimising for AI answers (GEO), or what some call AEO, cost in Saudi Arabia?

With Tasadr you start with a 7-day free trial with no credit card, then $49 a month on Starter, $99 on Pro, $199 on Advanced, and Business by quote, with no per-question fees. Carrying out the edits at an agency costs what the number of questions, pages and markets decides.

What does it cost to check my site against AI guidelines?

Google says its generative AI features require only an indexed page eligible to show with a snippet, with no special file or markup. So a serious check covers crawler access, indexing and the clarity of your text, done by your developer or SEO lead, and we know of no reliable published price to quote. What no check tells you is whether the engine actually cited you: only measuring the answers does.

What do GEO agencies charge in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Egypt?

We know of no verifiable figure we could publish, and the offers do not buy the same thing. The price moves with the number of questions and markets, the pages written, the technical work, whether measurement is included and the length of the commitment. Ask for a written offer that states each of them.

Does a Tasadr subscriber pay per question or per measurement?

No. Each plan has a fixed price in US dollars and a stated question balance, and the amount only changes from one month to the next when you add something yourself, such as a question pack. All the prices are on Tasadr's pricing.

Does a Tasadr subscription include writing content and editing pages?

Tasadr is a platform, not an agency. Every competitor analysis comes with on-page fixes ready to publish, written from your page and your business profile; they are a draft you review and your team publishes. Then we check the edit is live on the page before we measure its impact.

What does it cost to optimise one page for AI to cite?

One page costs the time of whoever writes and edits it: your writer, your developer or your agency, and we know of no reliable published price per page to quote. In Tasadr you do not pay per page: every competitor analysis comes with on-page fixes ready to publish, from $49 a month on Starter with 15 competitor analyses.

Is GEO worth the cost for a small business?

It is when your customers ask AI engines before they buy and a competitor leads those answers instead of you. So measure before you pay for any work: if your site is absent from buying questions someone else leads, you know what you are paying to change, and if it already leads them, you keep the money.

What is the cheapest way to analyse competitors in AI answers?

The cheapest is to check yourself: ask the engine your customer's question and read who was cited, which costs only your time. Then an analysis and optimisation platform at a fixed price: with Tasadr, from $49 a month on Starter with 15 competitor analyses, and the free trial includes one competitor analysis.

What does GEO roughly cost for a small company?

For a Tasadr subscription: from $49 a month on Starter for 1 site and 20 questions, after a 7-day free trial. For the work: if someone on your team writes and edits, their time; otherwise an agency's offer, set by pages and questions. We publish no average of agency prices: we have no verifiable source for one.

What does a monthly GEO package cost for an organisation?

With Tasadr, the Business plan is by quote: up to 8 engines chosen per client, updated daily, sites and questions set to your organisation's needs, and a 60-minute setup session with the Tasadr team. The quote reaches you in writing within one working day.

Is Tasadr's price in Egypt and the UAE the same as in Saudi Arabia?

Yes. Tasadr's prices are in US dollars and the same in every country: Starter is $49 a month, Pro $99 a month, Advanced $199 a month, and Business by written quote. All the details are on Tasadr's pricing.
