How do AI answers read your Google Business Profile and reviews?
The Tasadr team · ·12 min read
Your Google Business Profile is your business's page in Google Search and Maps. Google says local ranking rests on relevance, distance and prominence, and that more reviews and positive ratings can help. So when customers ask for the «الأعلى تقييماً» ("top-rated") option in their city, leading starts with a complete profile that matches your site and genuine reviews.

What is Google Business Profile, and why do AI answers read it?
Google Business Profile is your business's page in Google Search and Maps, with your name, address, phone number, opening hours and customer reviews. Google's own Arabic name for it is «الملف التجاري على Google».
People search for it under many names, «الملف التجاري على google», «قوقل ماب بزنس» ("Google Maps business") and «ملف النشاط التجاري على google», all meaning the same product. It is not the same as the business profile in Tasadr (تصدَّر), where you write your business details once so that page fixes can be built from them.
Google says its AI features in Search, AI Overviews and AI Mode, rest on the same Search fundamentals, and Google's local results rank businesses partly by how well their profiles match what someone is searching for. An incomplete profile, or one that contradicts your site, weakens you in a source Google relies on.
How AI Overviews and AI Mode weigh the profile in local answers specifically is not something Google documents, and we say no more about it than we measure. What is certain is that the profile and its reviews are the main data Google holds that a business writes about itself and its customers write about it.
This guide is part of AI answers for local businesses, which covers what makes answers about your business right or wrong, and who the engine recommends in your city.
How do reviews enter a «الأعلى تقييماً» (top-rated) question?
Many customers add «الأعلى تقييماً» ("top-rated") to their searches for a clinic or a restaurant, so the rating becomes part of the question itself. Google says more reviews and positive ratings can help your local ranking.
From our research into Google's autocomplete suggestions in October 2026, the same pattern repeats in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE: «افضل عيادة جلدية بالرياض الأعلى تقييمًا» ("best dermatology clinic in Riyadh, top-rated"), «افضل عيادة اسنان بالكويت الأعلى تقييمًا», «افضل عيادة جلدية بجدة الأعلى تقييمًا» and «افضل عيادة اسنان في ابوظبي الأعلى تقييمًا».
Google's local ranking page says prominence means how well-known a business is, based partly on how many websites link to it and how many reviews it has, and that there is no way to request or pay for a better local ranking.
So the question your customer types asks the engine to rank by rating. Ratings are not built in a week; they accumulate from real customers, which is why the work starts today, not days before your busy season.
Which sources AI Overviews and AI Mode cite for these questions specifically, you find out on your own questions: search a top-rated question the way your customer types it in your city, note the links that come with the answer, whether business sites, directories or review platforms, then ask again on another day before you judge.
What should you write in your profile so it matches your site?
Write what is already on your site and your signage: name, address, phone number, hours, category and services. Google asks that a profile represent your business as people know it in the real world.
- Name: your real name as on your signage and site. Google's guidelines prohibit adding marketing taglines, hours, phone numbers or service descriptions to it. If your business has an Arabic and a Latin name, write both on your site as customers know them
- Category: as few categories as possible, and the most specific, as Google asks. A dental clinic picks a dental clinic category, not a general one, and does not add a category for every service it offers
- Hours: your regular customer-facing hours, then special hours for Ramadan, both Eids and National Day. Google offers special hours for holidays and temporary schedules, and more hours for a service with a different schedule. Each season's dates are in buying seasons in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Egypt
- Address and phone: your precise, real address, and a local number your business answers itself rather than a central call centre wherever possible, as Google's guidelines ask
- Services and attributes: what you actually offer, in the words your customers type, and attributes such as parking or Wi-Fi, details customers ask about by name
- Website: the branch's own page if you have more than one branch. Google's guidelines say the phone number and website should lead to that specific location, not to a generic landing page or a redirect
Name, address and phone, everywhere
Local SEO calls this consistency NAP: name, address and phone. Write them the same way in your profile, on your site and in every directory that lists you, because a fact that varies from place to place can come out wrong in an answer.
The detail is in why AI answers get your business wrong, and what correct facts do is in what correct facts change.
How do you grow your reviews without breaking Google's policies?
Ask every customer after the service, with a link or a QR code, reply to what they write, never pay for reviews and never ask only the happy ones. That is the approach Google's policies allow.
Google's tips page suggests reminding customers to leave a review through a Google link or a QR code they scan. It says incentives in exchange for reviews, such as discounts, goods or services at no charge, are strictly prohibited, as are incentives to change a review or remove a negative one.
The Maps content policy prohibits fake engagement: reviews paid for in cash or in kind, posted from several accounts by one person, or not based on a real experience. It also prohibits discouraging negative reviews or selectively asking happy customers for positive ones.
So do not buy what is sold under searches such as «شراء تقييمات جوجل ماب» ("buy Google Maps reviews") or «زيادة تقييمات جوجل ماب» ("increase Google Maps reviews"), which Google's autocomplete suggests. Google says fake engagement is removed, and an answer built on fake reviews is built on something that will disappear.
How should you reply to reviews?
Reply briefly and usefully, do not paste the same thank-you everywhere, do not turn a reply into an advert, apologise when an apology is due, and never reveal a reviewer's private details. All of this is Google's own advice.
To reply, your business must be verified. Your reply is published under the review in your business's name once Google has checked it, and you can flag a review you believe breaks Google's policies instead of arguing with its author.
How do you connect your profile to your site?
Give each branch its own page on your site, with the name, address, phone number and hours in plain text as in the profile, and add LocalBusiness structured data, or the most specific subtype that fits your business.
Google says this markup tells it about your hours, departments and more; that name and address are required; and it recommends phone number, hours, URL and coordinates, using the most specific subtype possible, such as Restaurant for a restaurant.
Its page on AI features says structured data is not required for them, so it confirms what your page says rather than replacing it. The types for each sector, and how to test them, are in structured data for your site.
Do not copy your profile's ratings into your markup as if they rated your page. Google says aggregateRating is recommended for sites that capture reviews about other local businesses, not for a business rating itself.
Example: a dental clinic in Jeddah
Illustrative example: jeddah-smile-center.com is a dental centre in Jeddah. Its patients search «افضل عيادة اسنان في جدة الأعلى تقييمًا» ("best dental clinic in Jeddah, top-rated"). Its Google Business Profile carries a different name from its website, and opening hours unchanged since last Ramadan.
The centre starts with three things in one week. It uses one name across profile, site and signage; updates its hours and sets special hours for the coming Ramadan; and lists the services it actually offers, such as orthodontics, implants and whitening, in the words its patients use.
Then it asks every patient for a review after their visit, with a QR code at reception, asking everyone rather than only the satisfied, replies each week to what was written, and adds Dentist structured data to each branch page with the same name, address and phone number.
The centre does not yet know whether the engine will recommend it; that is what it measures. But it has removed two reasons an engine might get its name and hours wrong, and its reviews now grow in a way Google's policies accept. The whole sector is covered in the clinics guide, and property in the real estate guide.
How do you see your profile's effect on AI answers?
In two places: what Google shows you about your profile's performance, and the local customer questions you measure in AI engines. The first tells you how many people reached your profile; the second, whether your business is recommended in the answer.
In Tasadr you write your customers' local questions in their dialect, such as «إيش أحسن عيادة أسنان في شمال جدة؟» ("what's the best dental clinic in north Jeddah?") or «عيادة اسنان تفتح يوم الجمعة» ("dental clinic open on Friday").
We measure whether your site was cited or your name mentioned without a link, and who was recommended instead, and you read the difference after you change your profile and your page.
Wait before you judge. Reviews accumulate slowly and answers change from day to day; the change worth believing is the one that repeats, as in the confirmed change.
What can nobody promise you?
Nobody can promise you a place in the answer because your profile is complete. Google says there is no way to request or pay for a better local ranking, and it does not document how its AI features weigh the profile.
Anyone selling you reviews, or promising guaranteed ones, is selling a policy breach that can take your reviews down with it. Anyone who says ChatGPT reads your Google Business Profile is saying something OpenAI has not documented. What we can do is measure your customers' questions regularly and show you who was recommended instead of you, and why.
